I think partly due to the awful Yankee Stadium, the lack of personality of players on both teams, and the times we live in, Baseball is no longer a mainstream sport.

Well Red Sox Nation is still struggling to come to terms with that.

Its still alive but needs some new personalities to step up. Both squads have boring ass players excluding Arod, Pedroia, Ortiz, and Jeter. No one is looking to fight anymore. Believe me though if the division or wild card is on the line then that atmosphere will return. Still gets the biggest ratings for baseball even in April.
