Look we just need a new voice, respected coach like van gundy. Get a young pick n roll point guard that can score to run the show, I like burke. Jeff teague is good but let's use him in the 2nd unit with lou as a bobby jackson type. Bring in a glue guy sf. Under new coaching I think you can get more discpline (no mid range shawdy) josh Smith. Al horford brings a lot at center because he's more versatile the than 75 % off cents out there. So COACHING is the biggest issue imo:ehh:

This.

Turn it around this season and/or see what happens in the offseason. As someone else stated I don't think CP3/Dwight are coming here unless Smoove is here. He can be a great player if he just chilled on the jumpers. He is probably one of the best defenders in the game today. Two sides to the game...

You have to take what the defense gives you but coaching can fix most of the jumper shot selections and situations Smoove is put in. :skip:

I'm probably stanning :manny: :to: :sadbron:

Of course the ATL
Ferry built this team specifically for this reason. He wanted to see who was gonna be a part of the new Hawks era & who needs to go. The only untouchable on this roster is Al & even he could be had for the right price. I say keep this team together unless we continue to slide going into the trading deadline. After the season it's clean house time

I got a PF from UCLA I'd throw in along with the first rounder :scheme:

Size matters, you can be versatile all you want but if you getting outsized and strength badly, you not for that position. Horford just ain't a C. He built just right for PF. You can't be playing PF's at center man unless you running and gunning like Phoenix used to do.

Smith is uncoachable. He just a stupid ass n!gga. Simple as that. He got million dollar talent but a ten cent brain.

Breh, it's more about scheme when we get taken advantage of by centers. There are not even 10 great centers in the league. I don't think a frontline of al horford and al jeffferson is going to make us that much scarier than what we have now. We have to face the fact that we will not get a center that is going to make us better than al/josh. I don't want to bank on Dwight coming here. What we can do is find a coach that can play them to their strengths instead of keeping them on the perimeter and letting them freelance. Popovich could take this team to the finals:skip:

Al Jefferson is a style mistake waiting to happen. He is ball dominate and you gotta change up your offense to accommodate him. You can't just put talent together and think it's going to work. You gotta have the right fit for the right skill-sets for it to work. Al Jefferson would completely change our style and for Jefferson to be truly successful, we need a true center next to him as well, not a even smaller PF like Al Horford.

Naw man, Pop couldn't do it without Duncan. He even made the statement that's he is retiring when Duncan leaves. Duncan might be the most unappreciated player in NBA history. The almost of work he does for a Basketball team is unparallelled and he is clearly the best Basketball player of his generation. LD is a solid coach, while I like Woody in Atlanta more, a lot of Atlanta's issue is personnel related. This team is far from a coach away. Josh Smith is just stupid, the coaching know that and never vote him in. He never does the little things. He always seems to do the things that show up on stat-sheet but the important little things seem to be-found Smith.

There are about 15 legit starting centers in the NBA.
Howard
Noah
M. Gasol
Chandler
Anderson V.
Cousins
Nikola Vucevic
Pekovic
Brook Lopez
Asik
Hibbert
Nene
Kanter (potential)
Perkins
Drummond (potential)
Jordan

I would take them next to Horford instead of Jefferson anyday.

Smoove don't fit with none of them dudes tho. I understand Smith and Dwight are best friends but neither of them are worth a f**k together. It would cool for defense but offense would be :dwillhuh:

Not sure with the Clippers recent success that there is any way we could get CP3, Howard is probably much more likely but not sure he would even still be worth the price at this point, Larry Drew needs to go, and we seriously need to start looking at getting rid of J-Smoove while he still has good trade value

I really don't think the Clippers are that good. They have a great bench and CP3 but none of their starters sans CP3 are good half court players. Griffin is just like VC. He has average bbiq and he is an iso dominant player. If he could play off the PnR in the half court at a very high level, he could be the GOAT PF but he can't. He's not like Amare, Amare was a PF don. Amare was the only PF I've seen that was elite at one time with iso scoring and PnR scoring. His bbiq was extremely high. Sucks for Amare that Melo is ball dominant and injuries took a part of Amare's game away.

I dont believe we can win with josh smith being one of our best 2-3 players
I love him and everything but he just isn't that good

I'm all about the Dwight dream, but we need a new coach and a legit PG
Most of us knew this would be an average to below average team and season but yesterday was some ugly shyt to watch

The only a few options I see for a championship in the next few years is
A) Dwight and CP3/other top PG
B) Tank and get a star in the draft (idk the future prospects and outlook)
C) all the other top players in the East suffer freak injuries clearing the path for us

We are too good to tank, that's the problem. I was watching these young teams like Cleveland, Charlotte, and New Orleans and they don't got a f**king clue. We got too much money too. This kinda sucks to be honest. We might get suckered like Detroit did with Gordon and Charlie V.

We need to do something, I wish Al got hurt next year instead of last year. We could be in the running for Wiggins or Parker.

I wouldn't mind Jennings, that man PnR's are beautiful. Not a fan of his decision making skills at times. He is doing the best he can with what he has. He made magic work with Bogut. I am a firm believer he can be much better in a PnR system.

:leon:seems like your just done with smith but he brings more to the game than horford. Horford is a great role player. All of the above are unattainable or overrated. I would be ingested in Josh for Anderson v. But outside of that maybe pekovic but Perkins? Asik? Jordan?.... They affordable ones don't make us a championship team. Tim is great. ... but popovich is the greatest coach imo:mjpls:

We need a legitimate threat at the 3...igoudala would be great here:jawalrus:

1st thing we need to do....

DUMP Larry Drew while we're still over .500

after that, we can talk about our next move.
