Cant even call them that because whats the content that theyre creating if it has no point or substance. Many people record themselves doing nothing for fun and for free. a lot of these so called "influencers" are no different.

It doesnt. Just dont get why pointless shyt is being pushed, promoted and encouraged. Everytime i peep the news cycle on the web or tv, i see an "influencer" who i never seen before a day in my life being hyped up. And i dont see them saying or doing anything that makes me want to get up on what theyre doing. Ive seen REAL content creators and they arent the same as "influencers" who are always on social media. A content creator has a product they created that can exist with or without social media. They can use social media, tv, the web and etc as a platform to push it. That influencer shyt makes no sense.

Popular people market product that will make people more likely to buy. The term influencer works because those people garner interest of people of a demographic which can be directed to marketing efforts.
