grand theft auto III should have been WAY higher up on the list groundbreaking game that will be moded and transformed for years to come, other than that i agree that mario bros is the greatest franchise of all time, however Super Mario Bros 3. on the original nintendo is hands down the greatest game of all time

No. Call of Duty is nowhere near the best FPS this gen. It's not even revolutionary. The only thing it revolutionized was its own brand. It went from a WW2 based game to modern day combat. The Ghille suit mission and the helicopter mission were the only two standouts from that campaign. Other than that, the gameplay was the same as the other CODs. In all honesty, it shouldn't even be on that list. Especially at 20.
Final Fantasy III/VI and San Andreas not being on that list in an abomination.
No love for Shenmue? Alot of these games wouldn't be anything without the QTE that game innovated.

Its a shooter. The gameplay isn't supposed to change much from the previous incarnations in the franchise. However, they refined and perfected the shooting mechanics. The game is arguably the most balanced FPS ever created. If you are skilled, you can dominate a game with ANY WEAPON. I know. I've done it. Before it came out, every game was trying to be the next Halo. After CoD4 came out and blew Halo 3 the fukk away a month after it released, everyone was trying to be the next CoD. I mean, even fukking Halo added perks and shyt to their multiplayer with Reach because they knew CoD had some shyt going on.
And there were multiple fantastic single player missions. You forgot to mention the end game and the Shock and Awe mission. CoD4 is one of the best games ever created and deserves all the recognition it gets. I've been gaming since the NES and after KOTOR it was years until I was as engaged or immersed in a game experience. Then CoD4 came out and took over my(and plenty others) life.

A ton of questionable games on the list but of the games I actually played they were all pretty damn good
I agree with this. ME3 tried too hard. Tried to be too epic and branching whereas ME2 simply was.
