All Star
1. The majority of their beats were corny and soft as shyt. Like the type of beats that they would throw on a 1990's movie to depict a hip hop beat.
2. Majority of people didn't really know what the fukk they was spitting. You could argue that Wu Tang were on that same vibe in terms of lyrics you could grasp, but at least the lyrics were audible, from there you could do your own research on what they was spitting.
Now dont get me wrong BTNH are still top 5 all time hip hop groups and I will still blast alot of their shyt to this day but lets be real, no one is checking for most of their discography. I understand and recognise that their flows and the way they harmonized various vocals was fly as fukk but lets be real, they were talking unoriginal lyrics with an unorthodox flow and most dudes cant quote their lyrics for shyt, maybe a line or two but apart from that ... not memorable lyrics.
If theres dudes out there that prefer Bone Thugs over Wu, let me know what it was that did it for you
