We have to do something like create a counter-coalition. Or stand up to them. Like I said before, we have to be involved, so we can strengthen our community.
It's weird...depending on your race that's either a really good or really bad.
Most of my older family members say that Reagan was horrible, but I happen to know many whites who believe that was a golden era.
Black folks should stop expecting any fukking thing from the govt. Its like nobody reads the news or knows American history. I still don't agree with people who voted for dude, but in a way I'm glad he won cause now we have nobody to run to. We have no fukking choice but to do for self like we should have been for decades.

No. I'm just telling what is going to happen. Modern day African American slavery doesn't have the platform it deserves. It's crazy how the black race can get fukked over and not realize it enmasse. That's systematic racism for you, the worst kind of racism. My c00n ass father was defending Clinton's tough on crime and said they locked themselves up. I was done after that.

This really saddens me. I really feel we need to be more politically engaged and run for local positions. It's time to become power brokers it really is.

I do agree, I definitely think we as Blacks should run for more local offices, I once ran for city council (lost). I also think that in our respective communities, younger Blacks should attend their city council meetings and attend town hall meetings where they can directly speak with the local electorate, because those meeting are dominated by older (45+) middle class Blacks, a growing number of Hispanics and disaffected whites.
