i like squatting and deadlifting but I'm not trying to fukk my back up so I want to reach a certain weight then keep at that level without going higher. Which weight would y'all say it's the maximum? I'm currently on 176lbs for both of them.

It's relative to the person. Some people can squat/deadlift 3 or 4+ plates comfortably.

If the thought of getting injured crosses your mind before a lift, then that's a good indicator that it's too much weight.

You know that's funny I see more than a few consistent gym goers dead lifting that much as compared to benching 315.

Man I see a few guys squat, even less that deadlift, so that's why I said 315 for a squat and deadlift is good in my book for anyone, if you can get 315 across the board your damn near elite as that totals to 945 for the 3 big lifts:yeshrug:

Anything better than that:wow:

Damn I feel blessed then lol. The one thing I'm trying to get though is 225 on the overhead seated press. I'm at 195 right now for 2/3 reps

Yea breh I mean I'm above all that as well, but you gotta think about it fam,how many cats can really go in the the gym and hit 315 all around the board? Even the regular cats lack at something, I don't see too many cats hitting 315 on all 3 big lifts.

But yea I'm about to start doing overhead seated presses as well once the new year begins breh,I'll keep you updated

I can agree with that just at least at my gym I see more cats doing the deadlift at that weight then the bench press. That's all I was saying. I think the dead lift easier too esp since some cats use straps to help.

Keep me updated on the overhead press fam

As long as you can still move efficiently and don't get injured, keep going. I'd honestly say a 440lb DL is strong enough for a guy under 220. And a 405 squat is probably as strong as a regular dude will ever need to be. After that, I'd go for improving fitness and maintaining your mobility, etc.
