The biggest employer of black Americans, the government, being gutted and replaced with trump loyalists. You're banking on the white man looking out for you
The potential of the department of education being removed which results in states loyal to trump having more sway over funds that make it to black schools. These schools are already under funded with government money. Think less funding for public schools.
- less discussions on race issues in schools and workplaces that want funding
Back to mandatory sentencing minimums for minor offenses which effects black people because black communities are the most policed.
More immunity for police that may not be fit to wear a uniform
Rollback on criminal justice reforms designed to prevent mass incarceration
More voter right protections being reduced. Think less polling stations around black people, limits on early voting and potentially stricter voter id laws
Limiting the civil rights divisions power to address discrimination in state institutions like your job, where you and your children are educated and in the police department.. đź«
Reduction in social safety nets like health care for the elderly, public housing and welfare which will raise the homeless population.
Reduction in affirmative action hiring aka dei which means those government jobs that are lost may not come back to what they were.

I can’t simply vote for someone who as a former prosecutor that locked up black parents, especially one who’s child was sick with the sickle cell disease and had to miss school.

If it is so obvious that Trump is awful and Kamala is so great why is this race so close? At least 50% of the country is voting for him. Trump fear mongering was the wrong play. Dems need better candidates and a clearer message.
