Next to none. They never really embraced the younger ATL/southern generation.

Crazy to think that TI had the futuristic trap version of New Edition with Rich Kidz & Yung LA to fall right into his hands. Grand Hustle fumbled it (largely by TI going to prison).

Young Dro gave them to TIP, TIP didn’t find them

They ain’t really influence nobody. The names in here are reaches if anything. They legends and have important contributions to the game but nobody was influenced enough by them to copy they sound or anything

:mjlol:That's why I don't consider them legends. I consider them both industry plants who didn't influence anybody.

The whole south… For whatever reason the new Atl rappers refuse to give Tip and Jeezy their flowers and usually d ride Gucci when Gucci copied both himself. On top of that, Tip and Jeezy are actually more authentic.

Well, Jeezy was influenced by T.I. Clear difference in the way Jeezy rapped before T.I. blew in 2003 and how he was rapping before. Not even in the sound, but also content.
Yup. Even bit some of his lines and the Aaaaaayyyeee ad-lib was T.I. P.'s first. Even the trapper aesthetic Jeezy had when he came out T.I. had it already.

Damn near his whole career. He had no mainstream hits after so icey.

Doing hole in the wall shows at best and making 100 mixtapes a year.

ti and jeezy had real obligations and didn’t have the time to be working with every artist are making 1000s of throwaway songs that nobody will remember.

Gucci has over 100s of mixtapes and none of them hold the weight of one from jeezy and one from ti.
Facts, evertime gucci was going to have a wave he went to jail.

Gotti did switch to the jeezy flow during those CM3-CM5 days :francis:

I hear jeezy in EST Gee

And I would say a lot more ppl took his sound and not his flow.

I'd say both. That slow/dragged out flow over those cinematic ass instrumentals.

BOY!!, I thought I was the only one that thought this.

IMO Krit sounds more UGK-Ish to me.

Krit is clearly influenced by UGK, 8Ball & MJG, and Goodie Mob. There’s zero T.I. influence musically

@Ineedmoney504 literally all of Gucci’s mainstream hits came after Icy. I Get The Bag may be one of his biggest hits and that was in 2017. Wake Up In The Sky was FIVE times platinum lmaooo. Are we gonna forget him with Rae Drummers on Black Beatles as well?????

:russ: Nikkas said Yo Gotti. Nikka WTF!

1. Yo Gotti was already rapping way before them nikkas and that "Sell my Dope" song is what really blew him up down south. Everybody was bumping that.

2. Til this day Gotti's most popular song is "Thats Whats Up" on Back 2 Da Basics. That came out in 06 right in the middle of TI and Jeezys height. It sounds nothing like them. Play that song anywhere in the south and nikkas and chicks sing that song word for word.

Cuz bytch I make 50 off of 3.5! And thats what up. Everybody really yelling that part.

Gucci has had like 3 primes though, and if you think none of those songs were hits, you have never left your house
