Even then, I disagree... the "Don mega" era Ice Cube was still a significant drop from his original form. His flow was more stilted and don't get me started on how corny the lyrics became.
His flow was an adaptation to the era...you can't bring a '91 flow into '98. The lyrics cover what I said already.

But I also don't see Cube as an elite lyricist from the jump. He was a good lyricist with other elite traits (delivery, content, storytelling, album cohesion).

Ok. You got it. I'm not going to try to convince you. Everyone else here vehemently disagrees but do you.

I'll take Prodigy....

Even though he admitted that he arrogant and didn't realize that he wasn't rapping the same on Infamy due to all the drugs and stress that he ended up regressing back to.

Luckily, he came back correct during the Return Of The Mac/H.N.I.C Pt. 2 era.

Crazy enough that I have a new appreciation for H.N.I.C 3 nowadays. I took it as P broadening his horizons a bit.

Kurupt is really the only right answer on the list. Nobody really “lost their ability” except for him. “Dillinger & Young Gotti” was his last hurrah, for me. After that I couldn’t listen anymore.
