I've heard just as many wack beats produced on an MPC, Logic, etc...

At the end of the Day, they're all just sequencers.

:comeon: you know what I mean
the millions of wack Lex Luger clones out there aren't buying hardware or using any other DAW they're just getting Fruity Loops off an uploading site with the Lex Luger kit and a played out instrument plugin or two and they start making hits :snoop:

Fruity Loops completely dominates the noob market

aside from the fact that its the preferred choice of most new and wack producers there's nothing wrong with it

it seems to be optimized for programmed music (hip hop, dance, etc.) with the whole "click in your drums and notes" type features though

I can't imagine someone doing a whole album worth of non-programmed style music on FL Studio... like some acoustic singer-songwriter shyt or some jazz...

98% of super wack non-pro beatmakers use Fruity Loops that's why it's not respected it's not because people think it's an inferior program

If "pros" were smart, they would cut down on a lot of that damn hardware, find somebody who "pirates", and still make quality music. I just play around with music, but I'm almost sure a professional could use Fruity Loops and make the same shyt being made with pro tools

How many hiphop producers are trained in music theory and ate actually multi-instrumentalists? If they were they'd realize that it's not even the daw or sequencer you use, he'll its not even the instruments you use either. Check Jon Brion and Matthew Herbert to see what I'm talking about.

its not about what producers are using to make beats...

u can put on a pair of jordan 1's, but you're still not going to be a basketball star...

u can give rza three tins cans and a pencil and he'll make better tracks than some avg guy with all the equipment in the world...

:childplease:
who said it's about the DAW
i'm saying Fruity Loops is only popular in hip hop and dance
if you're mostly doing rock and film scores like Jon Brion I doubt that Fruity Loops would be your favorite DAW

Idk why nikkas act like Fruity Loops ain't a professional studio. If you know how to get software, or pay for it, there are millions of dollars worth of professional vsts out there. Not to mention just random chopped up beats/sounds that you can find, or make yourself

IT'S THE EASIEST PROGRAM TO PICK UP AND START USING. THERE WAS A FUNNY ASS THREAD ON SOHH ON WHO COULD MAKE THE WACKEST BEAT WITH FRUITY LOOPS.

Yes, its "user-friendly", but do you know what kind of VST's and FX plug-ins are out there??? Yea, either does anybody else. Believe me, I've seen professional ($10,000 mastering suites and all kind of other shyt) plug-ins out there that can replace all that studio equipment. You keep believing that its only for beginners if you want to. Most of these damn producers cant even read sheet music, let alone tell me whats hot or not to make music

NOBODY SAID IT WAS ONLY FOR BEGINNERS. I JUST SAID THAT IT'S EASY TO PICK UP AND USE. THAT ALONE GIVES IT THAT STIGMA OF BEING NON PROFESSIONAL.

My bad, I misunderstood you. Yea, I guess you are right. Since everybody can at least get with the basics of the program, bigger names wanna down-talk it. My FL folder contains 62GB's worth of shyt. If I only knew how to use all this shyt correctly :steviej:
