Before he passed Victory Lap was not a crazy huge album. Dude is right. Here on the east coast people weren't really bumping Nipsey like that. Don't get me wrong he still had fans here but it def wasn't what I'd call mainstream. Let's be real the album did 53k it's first week in sales and I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of that was from the West Coast.

He was def on his way and yes I will admit his death made more people like him but that album was being played a lot in my area (Midwest/OH/Cleveland/Akron)

He should’ve won and I’m not even a Nip guy at all.
