To be fair, he was saying that Mac Miller was hotter than Nas in 2011, as in, his name was out there more. And agree or not, Mac Miller had a big year last year. He had the highest selling independently released rap album ever. Nas released, like, two songs last year.

Which is kind of a odd thing to say. That's like saying Jrue Holiday's had a better postseason this year than Derrick Rose. Of course he has; Rose got injured in his first game. But there's no doubt who's the better player, just like there's no doubt who is the more popular emcee between Mac and Nas now (and forever). Nas (and Jay for that matter) are on an upper tier that Mac will never get to.

Sad to hear that Deidre left. I like the rest of the cast too, and the chemistry they got is really good. If it wasn't for Brandon's smugness (I actually like the musical interludes) I'd still listen.

BTW, I listen to Girl on Guy as well. Like Marc Maron, Aisha brings on an interesting array of guests.

I think this discussion is kind of taking place out of context. There was a magazine that listed the "hottest rappers of 2011" and then the podcasters made their own list. It's not as simple as him saying "Mack Miller is hotter than Nas" IMO. But yeah they slander a lot of artist, Nas included. I can see how that might be a turn off depending on who your favorite rappers are. I just find it all humorous.

It's all jokes and opinion to me. It's not like if they slander Nas I'm gonna stop listening to Illmatic right?

Listened to The Champs this morning based off this thread, and the fact that I saw an episode with Hannibal Burress.
It was pretty cool, but someone needs to take that 360 machine from them, cause none of those drops were remotely funny and constatnly distracting. Just be fukking comfortable with the conversation, playing noises constantly seems so cheesy. I'll give another episode a shot tho.

I had to stop listening to 40 Acres. Brandon's act got tired. Just hypes his own tweets and his Jay stanning (and Nas hate) is out of control. Tried to say last year that Mac Miller was a hotter MC than Nas. :what:

yeah the constant jay/outkast dikkriding is getting out of control especially last ep.

I'm officially a fan because of this thread. You get used to the drops and you start expecting them. After a while you're actually surprised when there isn't one.

Btw, Rod's podcast, The Black Guy Who Tips, is already heads and shoulders better than most celebrity podcasts despite the lack of star studded guests.
