yes, I entered this thread to say Hakeem in his prime with his back to back championships and the "dream fadaway", the way he was so nimble for his height and mentally clever that he would make the other star centers of his era look stupid by faking them out so bad

Mike was more athletically gifted AND more technically skilled, which is why he was more efficient, and a better playmaker if we wanna go that route.
So if Kobe is more ‘skilled’, at WHAT ??Where did it show up?!? Can’t be eye test bc he’s a facsimile of mike just less athletic and less efficient. People would like to think the more athletic player could get by on that and skimp on skill but no sir. Mike was pristine in his footwork, movement, etc a benefit of being held back at UNC under Dean smith

That 1st gif I swear that in my life I've never seen anyone look like MJ in the air. There have been higher jumpers than Mike even better dunkers maybe, but no one looks like he does when he took flight.

It's hard to explain too...it's why I drop gifs, because other people have dunked further during play, even in his era Dominique was a MUCH harder dunker (that's crazy tho...), and guys like Vince and Jrich have been more acrobatic when dunking, but he just looks suspended in the air, his motion is just different...it's really crazy.
Being to live watching that shyt as a kid was really wild. You never really expected a fadeaway of his to miss and you knew you were gonna get some wild dunks.
The shrug game was the craziest I've ever gone watching a game in my life other than the pistons winning titles...that game was just fukking mind-blowing as an 8 year old.
