They originate from West Africa. You can't say a particular country because most of the African countries didn't exist(were still colonies with different land borders) until the early-mid 20th century. Besides, y'all AAs are a mutt of tribes. And you don't even know how many are in your blood.

Least I know my single tribe lineage and speak the language(actually 3 languages thanks to growing up in a diverse community of different tribes)
