I'd now go IV, Rogue One, V, VI, I, II, III, VII or IV-VI, Rogue One, I-III, VII

Dude don't overthink it. Just watch them in the order of release. If you know all the big twists you won't be spoiling yourself. I'd say episode 1 is relevant to the politics of the universe

The only twist I know is that Vader is Luke's father. That's all the Star Wars knowledge I have. I'm not even aware of its significance.

I'm leaning towards going in that order. Hopefully I can make it pass episode one

Yup that's the main twist you need to know. Just watch in the order of their release then. For me, cats twist themselves in a pretzel trying to find the "perfect" order. Fukk that. Watch them by year of release lol and call it a day

I guess I'll mention it since nobody else has but if u want more backstory to Star Wars after you watch the films , the animated film the Clone Wars and its subsequent Clone Wars Series( Both on Netflix) fleshes out alot of backstory in the prequels that's not shown in the prequel movies but keep in mind lots of filler episodes. The Clone Wars takes place between Episode 2 and Episode 3

I;'ll be interested to see if they do an animated series that fills in the gaps between episodes 6 and 7. Obviously a live action movie is pretty much out of the picture now unless they want to do a shyt load of CGI for characters like Leah, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker.
