Also with Aiyuk, it works in our favor if we extend him, I don't know why we like to let that shyt linger on like we do, we could literally lower that 14 mil cap hit the 1st year to like 1 or 2 million with an extension like they did with CMC and others.

I think that leaves the door open for a DT also because that's about half of what a high end EDGE goes for. I'm listening to the Chats sports stream on youtube and they're saying he's decent against the run and at least as good as Chase Young at rushing the QB.
I know he gave us hell when we had Jimmy at QB.

I dont think anyone will give up a 2nd rounder for Jauan. So we get him for one more year and then we'll see.

I think we're looking for maybe a 1-yr stop gap for real and see how Greenlaw looks after he comes back. Because the problem we'd have is trying to pay him if we splurge on a weak side LB. That's probably the only position you can cheap out on or plug in a rookie to play. I know it bit us in the ass in the SB, but typically you can find a cheaper option than 10 milly a year.
