To be fair, that had a best selling book as the source material. Kinda hard to fukk that momentum up, even if it’s cheap trash like 50 shades or teen drivel like Twilight.

I’ve noticed a lot of black actresses fukk up the momentum they gain from acclaimed or popular mainstream roles, Sannaa did after that movie with Denzel, Taraji did after Benjamin button, and I feel like a couple others are slipping my mind. Viola Davis and Lupita are like the only two (recent)success stories.

I think they take what they can get

Taraji is extremely talented. Phenomenal actress. She needs way better roles though and this is why i get mad that Black celebs don't create their own film industry because her talent is being put to waste. She could be in so many black movies

Ok film. I think i enjoyed it because I like Taraji P Henson. I think shes beautiful and can act. Some of the shots where u see Taraji in those business suits . This alone is worth watching imo.
