What makes a white sitcom cool to watch?

I always see posts about shows with white casts deemed corny off the rip.

So what specifically makes shows like seinfeld or married with children not corny?

These two never seem to get that flack?

they are NOT corny... maybe your real question is what IS corny...

it's a quality some people can identify and distinguish... even feel. I don't think it necessarily has to do with a white cast. tons of shows with white casts are not deemed corny.

chances are if you hear the theme to friends and keep watching you can't tell what corny is. the measure of where you stand is Friends Vs Seinfeld. One of these shows was a comedy with not much humor and a lot of cringe.

I loved me some Frasier. Yes they were white and upper crust but they always got what was coming to them for acting stuck up. The Dad also helped temper some of it and Roz ........
They had a good run for about 5 seasons and then they went and fukked up the Niles/Daphne story and stopped having anything happening at the radio show. I still haven't gotten through season 11 and it had my girl Laura Linney back when she was looking fauwnn.
It is hard to maintain a good show over the years. I never got Seinfeld but from what I understand it was good throughout the entire run.

Agreed- Frazier is in my top 10. But it def wasn’t the same after season 5, jumped the shark. Consistency wasn’t the same.

That’s the main reason for me- that white girl that he’s simping is annoying af. No chemistry, And another major factor is they stopped focusing on the students - first season was more about the students interacting with the teachers. Second season - they mainly show the teacher/faculty interaction. The dynamic is off. The only ep that I laughed at was The Nuns after Jack and the kids stole the statue from the church, rest were mehhh. last season was hilarious.
