NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I don't think it was bout money n all that other shyt nikkas is sayin..I think it was so his rhymes could tailor to the beat more...especially some the unorthodox beats that Just and Heatmakers would give him...

ghost face killah album "supreme clientele" after hearing that killah cam realized he just gotta put words together, fukk having to make sense...

Anyone who has really been paying attention to Cam should be able to see how Supreme Clientele era Ghost influenced him somewhat in regards to his rhymes and his image. They were actually labelmates at the time. But I don't think it was about not needing to make sense as much as it was Ghost speaking in code and still making the rhymes sound fly to the average listener.

Somebody probably told him he sounded like a higher pitched DMX, so He had to flip it, and he became garbage...

I will be hated on for this, but Cam in my opinion, was the weakest starter on the Dipset roster in their glory days...

I preferred Hell Rell, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana...

and even with that, his tone of voice changed too as well, deeper tone in a sense

Yeah I thought it was because he got sick. Confessions of Fire/SDE Cam had a quicker flower, higher tone voice and was heavier. Dude was gone for a minute, came back slimmer, deeper voice & slower flow.

A big difference from "Confessions of a fire" era then the "Come home with me" till now era, like what made him go for a more slowed down type of flow??

He talks about why he changed it in this interview.

He said "I can make another Confessions album but that don't bring in the money"

Because Drag-On came out and did it better than him :leon:

This

It's like people are forgetting all the comparisons those 2 were getting back in the day with that flow.

Cam sounded good with both styles to me, so I never got disappointed when he switched it up to the primary flow he uses now.
