during the ps2 era... when socom 2 was the hot new shyt

i had a mean ass clan on there. 2 of my boys from real life and like 30 other peeps online. we had to make 2 seperate clan rosters because we ran so deep. mostly everyone in it was a mic user and cool ass shyt

I member having those games in those rotations getting like 2 hours of sleep

The 90s was the greatest period started with Super Nintendo/genesis,to psx to n64 to dreamcast and ended with ps2 not to mention all the arcade games in between

My tiers are as follows:

Tier Zero: Playstation One birth to Dreamcast Death (this btw includes a goldenage of PC Gaming)
Tier 1: SNES/Sega Genesis/Arcade Greatness
Tier 2: Playstation 2/XBOX 1 (including the hackarama that went down during those)
Tier 3: NES/Atari 2600
Tier 4: Playstation 3/XBOX 360

2600 had a much larger install base and was the console which really made the company famous. Kids were still playing their 2600 when 7800 dropped and nintendo dropped.

I'd have to say right now. I can pick games from every generation that I liked a lot. But I really like the the graphics and interactivity of today's games. I'm really looking forward to ps4/nextbox

This. 1991 through like 2000. You had the Sierra games dropping in the early 90's (Police Quest, King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Gabriel Knight), Alone in the Dark, Betrayal at Krondor, Tie-Fighter, Doom, Wolf 3D, Lands of Lore, Syndicate, X-COM, Wing Commander III, etc...

Then in the 2nd half of the 90's / early 2000's, you got your Quake / Unreal Tournament, Diablo, Warcraft II, STARCRAFT, Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer, Jedi Outcast, etc... etc... etc....

Sad thing is I'm forgetting SOOOOO many great games. Goat period, PERIOD!

yea I wanted to put 90 as the start but its kinda a long period of 10 years...

oh and you forgot duke nukem 3d, half-life, both baldurs gates, planescape, arcanum (troika ), no one lives forever, first hitman and so on

Honestly, only early 90's PC games and the 360 era qualify as golden ages. IMO
