Damn for reason I was thinking you was TYBG...but he dapped my post and I got the names mixed up.

I imagine you had to major in telecommunications. You got any certifications?

Nah. No school. No certs
Thats more in IT
Im in the construction side of things

Lets say a company leases a floor in a building
And theres 10 conference rooms, 80 offices, and 300 cubicles
And each 1 of those gets 3 cables each (1 phone, 1 computer, 1 extra for fax, printer, tv)
Ill install all the phone and computer lines
I then make sure that they work and thats it
I dont hook up computers or fix them
Most places want tvs so i also run coax to where they want the tv
Sometimes i put them up but not often
Sometimes i run security cables
Either for cameras, motion sensors, give u access to a door

to be honest, there's really very little difference when it comes to the kind of business it is... they're still gonna need a credit card terminal so they can swipe cards and maybe, if they're a restaurant or something, a POS system so their servers can punch in orders... but after that, you're just paying attention to how many transactions they do a month, their total volume, and the risk associated with the business in terms of how many chargebacks they may receive (someone disputing a charge and their credit card company refusing to pay the amount) and then offering them a rate in accordance with the numbers that they do

it's actually our most profitable of the three businesses because it produces residual income... plus, if the merchants have any issues, they don't call our office, they call an 800 number for Wells Fargo customer service that guides them through fixes
I'd thought about becoming a middle man like this but just never had any real research into it. It was either this or ATM's. I like the residual on card machines over the ATM's tbh.

What's the work load like in terms of marketing and such?

Family Support Specialist.

I work with families in the Bronx who were just granted custody of their children back from the courts. Basically, I assist them with all types of tools, community linkages and resources so that they can stay on the good foot and keep their families together. We set up goals together and knock em' down one by one. Permanent housing, Child care(so mom can find work), Job Readiness, etc.
