What is time stretching and the benefits of it?

Pro Tools or the FLstudio joint? Both are fire but can be a crutch.

Pro Default and Pro Tranisent in FL studio are the best that I've used...its good in small doses. As for the MPCs I'm running JJOS on my 2500 and I always use the "Music C" function which I've always heard was the best out of the time stretching settings, again only good in small doses

And if anybody is interested, the Roland SP-303 time stretching is used in A LOT of Madlib beats, it has a very distinct sound
