It started off in Detroit as “shyt talking” but Flint came around made it a lot more comical around 2015. Detroit invented it but Flint took it nationwide during the height of the pandemic (March 2020)
Prolly the best explanation. Rio n em remind me of bizarre but less horrorcore and more hood shyt with comedic bars. They really rap how most nikkas talk around here:manny:

This is like hearing about a new style of pizza emerging from an overlooked region

Which oddly enough, Detroit is responsible for the world’s newest style of pizza with it’s Detroit style pizza

Surprised Eminem hasn't signed this nikka

I was thinking the same while going through these but I’d also imagine that Eminem has maybe had enough of “real Detroit” and a lot of these guys ‘seem to be’ rapping about what they’re actually living

Some may disagree but I really think it’s evolution of Bizarre’s (D12) style just with a more street edge and sped up of course.
I’ve seen somebody else say something similar and I kinda agree. YN Jay, RMC Mike, and BFD Da Packman are the most notable ones I can see like that. Basically a sped up Bizarre without the cringey uncomfortable lyrics, but still some hilarious and shock value type lyrics and content.
