I really meant the jump hook since almost no one does the skyhook..

And the pull up jumpers in the way the westbrook does them going full speed and to stop and pull up... They aren't very tough for me personally but maybe for others

the hook shot really isn't that hard.. i play both inside and outside an my go to move inside is to roll to my strong side with a soft little baby hook

a fadeaway is the toughest and probly should never be taken unless you're in a game that has a shot clock and its below 2.

The floater is really a lot easier than it looks.

The fadeaway is the hardest by far. I don't even use it. It only works at all if you're shooting from over your head or behind it (which I don't do) and even then it's an incredibly low percentage shot.

I've mastered everyone of those shots, except the hook.

The one that took the most practice was the floater.

So I guess I'll say that one.

Another tough shot is when you're running full speed on the fast break and having to stop on a dime to pull up for the mid range J.

I'd actually rather pull up from 35 feet.

But running full speed, it's harder to stop your momentum when you get that close to the basket.

Takes a lot of strength & balance.

Westbrook is good at that shyt. It's insane how he's able to get that shot of as fast as he is/ as much momentum as he carries.

So....I take the floater back. That full speed/full court sprint/pulling up off the dribble from mid range is the toughest shot in basketball imo.

If I was doing drills, I'd rather do floater drills all day.

That full court sprint/stop and pop from mid range drill is a killer

A fadeaway is really not as hard as some of you are making it seem. If you get good balance and arc on your shot it can be hit pretty consistently

Fadeway is the hardest. You are in the air and going backwards. Low pct shot.

Players hit baby hooks all the time. tho not a sky hook, Its still a hook shot. i.e. Al Jefferson. Higher pct shot than the fadeaway.

Fadeaway & the hook imo. Hook shot is self explanatory. A difficult shot any way you slice it. The trick with the fade away is applying all of your basic shooting mechanisms while also creating the separation needed to even get the shot off. Only a handful of players have been able to pull off the turnaround fadeaway consistently, and MJ's was damn near unguardable. The rec league champions need to sit down.
