98-99 WWF, I consider the real attitude era to be Mania 14 to around the end of 99. WWF was still very hot in 2000 and hot in 2001, but wrestling AS A WHOLE had its biggest run from spring 98 to late 99.

We're talking news stories all the time and public discussions. WWF was still pulling big numbers (with no competition) in 01, but it was not as much of a public presence and hot topic. Probably because by 2000 all their storylines had been seen before.
