I was around the same age as some of those kids when he was principal and the stories about him were toned down for the movie then I knew him later because he was the head of the juvi hall in Newark where I volunteered at for a while. Dude was sharp as a whip but he was tough as nails like a no bullshyt guy which is inpressive because that juvi hall the kids were fukking ruthless but they all respected him.
