A MIX OF BOTH. ONLY THING I HATE IS WHEN A BEAT COMPLETELY OUTSHINES THE LYRICS TO THE POINT WHERE YOU AREN'T EVEN LISTENING TO WHAT THEY ARE SAYING.

NOTHING IS BETTER THEN AN ARTIST COMPLETELY DESTROYING A DOPE BEAT. ON THE FLIP SIDE, NOTHING IS WORSE THAN A TERRIBLE BEAT DESTROYING AN ARTIST.

Jay Electronica, Budden, Ras Kass, Nas, & Scarface. Now of these guys really had hot production consistently. I wouldn't listen to Waka Flocka, 2 Chainz, or Ross. I rather listen to Budden or Uncle Murder spit over their instrumental.
