So for you god means "something you can't understand" then. See I also believe there are things in this universe beyond our understanding. I don't call it god and I don't ascribe any stories written by ancient civilizations to it. I certainly don't worship it. I'd rather focus on what we do know and what we can understand.

You do that then. Im going to worship the creator of all things because without it, i wouldnt be able to type to your right now. Being apart of the physical realm is a blessing and we should give thanks for it. :yeshrug: Why not, its only right. You've never fathom it in your lifetime so why hate on the creator of all things. In my opinion theres only 1 reason and its an emotional response to the responsibility of morality which most people cannot handle. Intelligence used as a backdoor to become a demon. I understand what im supposed to. That i am a product of creation and for that i should give thanks. Everything else is above my paygrade. Your heart has been hardened to God for reasons only you know. Hopefully, God willing, you overcome this before you die.

Actually you understand no more than me nor anyone else here. You've admitted to as much already. I asked you what created god and you said its beyond our understanding. If god = how the universe came to be (a concept which is currently beyond our understanding), then this post makes no sense. It's impossible to harden my heart towards something I have no understanding of.

Being thankful to be alive is one thing. Pretty sure most of us are. But worshipping something you have no understanding of makes no sense. At one point in time we didn't understand human biology or know anything about cells or pathogens. As you put it, it was "above our paygrade." Now imagine where we'd be today if everyone thought as you did and decided to worship the human body instead of trying to understand how it works. It is you who is hardening your heart.....towards humanity's natural drive to increase knowledge.
