A propensity for violence, informs the reptilian brain he's if not healthy, a competent defender.

A proclivity for crime signals low inhibition which means a likelihood to partake in adventures.

An adventure can be physical or emotional however it's often not boring, thus a dependable source of excitement.

A criminal enterprise often involves access to wealth/resources in faster & less strenuous methods than lawful methods.

A wealthy and successful (be it in delivering violence and/or accumulating power) man is the prototype that has succeeded in procreating their genes. A criminal satisfies a base desire independent of logic and reasoning. The criminals of today would be top of the food chain in a world stripped of civilization

Eloquent posting. I'd even argue that the criminal aspect is not the essential element, it's more so the personality traits that they exhibit. Bold, confident, risk-taker types do better with women regardless of career choice. Criminals are just more obvious about it

I remember years ago, this woman said she was at a hockey game where her boyfriend was playing.

During the game, he smashed one of the opponents into the barriers knocking him out cold, and she instantly got wet.

She said it was involuntary because she hates violence but seeing her man do that just triggered her biological instincts.
