i don't understand why people are so bent on fitting the descriptions of an alpha person. everyone wants to "command the attention of everyone in the room" or "physically or mentally dominate someone". that's crazy that you try to be the best you can be and measure that by how well you have control over others instead of yourself. if you live by that standard, your skill will be determined by those who you "dominate", not by your personal desire. and, truth of the matter is you'll always find someone who's "better" than you because we're all in different places and point in our development.
i just thought i'd bring that out since i'd seen a few threads over the past couple of weeks talking about how guys achieve alpha male status and all that stuff. i found it disturbing how posters measured their "alpha" abilities, by how much power the wield over others. like having power over others is the endgame or it's the only way you can establish yourself...
