I saw a recent Onyx interview on vladtv and they mentioned that their hood was messing with one of his songs back in the day and it inspired them as a group. Then I started thinking about how many times I heard his name dropped in various songs so I want to see how deep this goes. So what influence do you think Kurt Cobain has had on Hip Hop If any @ all and what are some references to him and/or his music?

kurt cobain is just used as a surface level soundbite for fugazi rappers who try to pander to their cac ass audience and act like they're "different"...."look, I don't just know about hip hop...i listen to this too " foh

garauntee you ask 95% of them what the name of the album was that came after nevermind they'd say some sh_t like "in uterus"

Can't agree with this so far

At the most people everywhere respected him and his fashion sense.. Denying it is trying too hard.. He wasn't black but he was one of the few cool white dudes
your post has nothing to do with what the thread proposed though? :heh: noone's talking about nobody didn't respect him or his fashion sense
