North Carolina has 5 military bases, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Army. We have the largest Marine Corps base on the east coast, second to Pendelton on the west coast. Then with the amount of gun nuts in the state. We would hold our own for a long time and acquire other territories. It would turn into an east vs west civil war

My money is on a state like Montana or Colorado just because of the terrain, a war like this would turn into a 10-20 year guerrilla war. The states with all the fighter jet's would yea have some early victories but after that it would be house to house combat
