yeah, somebody stupid gets voted in, and the coach has to start them... during the part of the game that matters (late 3rd and the 4th quarter) the coaches always play the important players anyway, and that's the part that's exciting.

Yao at least had decent stats most of those seasons though. And his last few years he was the best big man in the game, the only reason he didn't deserve it was because of injuries.

i mean, im sure he earned a couple of those starting spots in the midst of his 10-year career so his situation may not have been as shameful as jeremy lin. but yao didnt earn his position either in most of those joints. not just the injured years. theres a reason why he saw limited minutes in most of the all-star games that he played.

and i dont recall him being the best center. i remember shaq being the best, and then dwight howard.

if yao was better than dwight, then it had to be a short window of time when dwight was still young, cuz i dont really remember it.

so basically, yao started in about 10 all-star games and only deserved his spot in about 2 or 3 of them - which is what i came in here saying in the 1st place.
