THEN YOU TAKE THAT COPY TO ANOTHER STORE AND EAT. :jawalrus:

when i worked retail the person at the return counter would open the game right in front of you. them giving you a sealed copy defeats the purpose of them not accepting open game returns.

The fukk is going on in here? I've taken both games and DVDs back to Target without a problem. Most times they've given me store credit, sometimes the offer me a refund.

If they didn't do it at the Target you worked at or the area you live they are a$$holes, straight up. Y'all actin like it is impossible, this shyt happens everyday.

I'm pretty sure this wont be an option with Xbone games though since you can upload it to your console

Open music, movies, video games and software cannot be returned, but may be exchanged for the same title, for the same or different gaming platform.

I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD OPEN ANYTHING I BOUGHT IN A STORE. THE PROPER WAY TO DO IT IS DON'T GIVE THEM THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT. JUST GIVE THEM A RETURN RECEIPT SO NO STORE WILL TAKE IT BACK.

can't do that because there may be other items on the original receipt. technically they're not opening the game you bought. you opened the game you bought. the second copy is an exchange meaning they're giving you the equal of what you brought back to them which was an opened game.

NO. IN RETAIL AN OPEN ITEM IS USED. WHEN YOU EXCHANGE A DEFECTIVE ITEM YOU ARE TO BE GIVEN A NEW ONE. EVEN IF YOU OPEN IT IN FRONT OF ME THE ITEM IS LEGALLY USED.

IF THE STORE DOES NOT TAKE THE TIME TO VALIDATE WHETHER THE ITEM IS DEFECTIVE OR NOT THAT IS NOT THE CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM.

AND WITH THE RECEIPTS, THEY CAN BE PRINTED OVER AGAIN NOW. WHEN A RETURN IS PROCESSED IT PRINTS THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT WITH THE ALTERATIONS ON IT. SO THEY KNOW THE GAME/ALBUM IS A RETURN.

you bought the game you opened it. you say its defective so you exchange it. they open the exchanged copy because once you open a game you're in a loop and if they don't open it you can just use that unopened copy to commit return fraud.

i don't know what retail store you deal with but i've never seen one alter a previously done receipt. they're usually printed at the time of the transaction and if any altercations are done they're on a new receipt stapled to the old one unless they post void and re-ring all your stuff up then reprocess the payment.

any return desk employee that hands off a sealed copy of a new but opened game exchange is violating the store's policy. and more than likely they're gonna have to deal with the store's asset protection / security. back at Target they used to sit in the back room and watch employees on camera.

i'm a master of return fraud. i was the guy that coined the term "cop and swap" back on SOHH. if you get a sealed game back for a new opened one you got lucky with a dumb employee. i've done everything from swap the guts of a 360 and return the RROD one in the new shell to use a blow dryer on a PS2 serial sticker and swap consoles.
