WWE has been pretty bad as a whole for YEARS now. I'd say that the last time it was truly good was 2003, especially on Smackdown when Angle, Benoit, Mysterio, Guerrero, Lesnar, Undertaker and Hogan was killing the scene, the tag-team division was on point, and Stephanie McMahon was in her prime looking better than ever :lawd:

Raw was good too with "Hollywood" Rock on Raw for the first few months, then the arrival of Goldberg...Jericho/HBK rivalry was nice and I thought the Kane/Shane unintentional comedy was good. Trish was still in her prime too :to: But shyt started to fall off horribly though towards end of the year starting with the HHH/Goldberg shyt. The Austin and Bischoff wasn't great either.

But all in all, IMO 03' was the last good year before the beginning of the rise of Orton and Cena to the top of the card, and shyt has been progressively worst off every since :beli:

EDIT: Also, Wrestemania XIX was the last GREAT Wrestlemania

Ruthless aggression, hell Ruthless Aggression is arguably an even better era than the Attitude era. So much in ring talent back then.

Co-Sign. From a wrestling standpoint, I would also honestly put the RA era ahead of AE looking back.

I believe Raw during the Attitude Era averaged roughly 20 minutes in actually match time, for the entire show. Everything else was promos/skits and other fukkery.

Attitude is overrated. It gave us two of the biggest stars of all-time but the majority of story-lines & matches were shyt. They had an awful roster of wrestlers outside of a few supernovas like Rock & Austin. Virtually none of that stuff holds up well today, IMO, and I didn't even like most of it back then.

My peace offering to the Attitude-era fans I just pissed off:

The Attitude Era was entertaining television provided through wrestling, but the Ruthless Agression Era was entertaining mainstream wrestling at it's best.

Ruthless Aggression in the beginning had the best Wrestling but the attitude era had the most engaging storylines, even the bad ones were funny.

I'll co-sign 2003. I stopped really following sometime in 2004 and took a break for a couple of years. I'm back to not following it again except for when a big PPV comes around.

"Ruthless Aggression" that little crossover period between today and the attiude ... GOAT roster

You still had The Rock and Austin (kinda), HBK came back, Hogan back for a minute, Foley still wrestled, Taker was full time, HHH, Kane, Jericho, Kurt Angle, Big Show ...

then the arrival of guys like RVD, Booker T, Rey Mysterio, Goldberg

Lesnar, Cena, Orton, Batista ...

The rise of Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Jeff Hardy, Edge ...

The cruiserweight division on SD, tag titles meaning somethin', etc ..

shyt was real good. :lawd:

Watching the Attitude Era as it happened was crazy breh, but I agree when you watch that shyt now on youtube it doesnt seem as good. Maybe it was an age thing back then :ld:

Apart from the Austin and Vince feud, alot of the Austin and Rock shyt back then seems kinda meh now

You can still watch the Ruthless Aggression Era stuff now and it seems pretty good

2004 or 2005 was the best year for RAW
2003 was the best year for SD
