Houston would give them trouble because they gave them trouble. Regardless, my underlying point stands, Houston played at almost peak level tonight. This wasn't their ceiling but nobody expects them to score 140 on 50% from three on this team; this was effectively very near the highest gear they can reach...

LA has another several gears to unlock and just played miserably. I'll stand corrected and be flabbergasted if they can't figure Houston out and lose this series. As it is, after G1, this feels more like an awful performance versus a squad giving you very close to their strongest punch. Lakers for sure gonna have to work for it, but they'll figure it out...

Rockets defense forces teams into good old Iso-ball. The ability to switch 1-5 shuts a lot of shyt down

Houston's defensive weakness is quick guards. Only Eric Gordon & Austin Rivers can stay in front of them that's why CP3 and Schroder were both cooking our ass in the first round. Even guys like Trey Burke & Ish Smith eat against us. Lakers only have Bron who's a great Isolation player. It's going to be tough to generate offense if 3s aren't falling.

Harden must be thanking God he don't have to face Lu Dort anymore. That nikka don't make sense. Size, strength, length, footspeed, discipline, IQ, hustle, fighting over screens etc. He was keeping me awake at night. Lakers guards are BBQ chicken compared to what he just went through.
