normally you would think the team with the most rest should dominate but sometimes when u have such a gap between games ....that intensity goes

plus I think hous small ball is just too much for the lakers

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
Let Game 1 hot takes begin, its doomsday for LA lol...

I feel that the Lakers entire defensive scheme was not optimized for the Rockets like it should have been. It's almost like they felt like the Rockets couldn't do what they do on them so they didn't follow the blueprint that was already laid out for them by the Warriors and Spurs (stay home on shooters, let Harden and CP3/Westbrook go nuts and have them exhausted at the end)

100% agree with this. The amount of times you saw an open Rocket shooting was appalling. It can be fixed, but 3pt defense is an issue with LA, so there's gonna be ebb and flow. But it can be better than it is tonight...

There is definitely a blueprint out on how to defend Houston, LA just lacked any type of attention to detail and played like they expected Houston to roll over for them...

youre wayyyyyy off base with this one

Portland was playing g league guys
Houston has NBA players

the lakers are super weak at perimeter defense and the rockets spread you thin on an island playing small ball

this will be an issue the whole series

Portland snuck up in the 4th game 1
Houston whooped their ass

Bro with all of that, this game was a 2pt game (78-76) with 2 minutes left in the 3rd; a 4pt game with 30 seconds left in the 3rd (83-79), and still just 85-79 going into the 4th...

Lakers were absolutely trash from midway in the 1stQ on, and this was a 2-possession game entering the 4th. To me this is more about what LA didn't do, rather than what Houston did---->Rockets had all the intensity, got all the shots they wanted, made them at the percentages they normally clip at, outhustled the Lakers, etc. Harden damn near hit 40 and drew fouls on command. Westbrook went off. How much better can Houston play?

The flip to that question, what did LA do anything that looked good tonight?

Yall who been on here know I'm a Harden fan so if Bron is eliminated there is no one else I wanna see win more than him, and as far as teams go, I'm really neutral on this one---->I like them both. I think Houston would present problems for either LA team, we certainly saw them have their way on the other one in the regular season and whoever wins this series is beating LAC...

Hpuston didn't really "whoop" them until late. They played about as well as they can play and this game was two possessions early in the 4th. What i do qgree is that they gonna be a problem all series, they not going nowhere...

Lakers will be better in G2, though...
