He was gettin good show money despite that tho...enough to add to his sneaker collection, get his first couple cars & an apt in Atlantic Station. I guess that's something
In a 360 deal all show money goes to the record label.
360 deals cover everything from album proceeds, show money, tour money, endorsements, anything that has to do with your brand as an artist, is under that contract.
LMAO at MIMS being the only person on that list to put out a 2nd album...
Same thing that happened to:
YC
Cash Out [watch out though, that She Twerkin is starting to gain traction]
Shop Boyz
Fast Life Youngstas
Cali Swag District
MIMS
Im aware of what a 360 covers...what I'm telling you is that he was still getting show money despite that. Fly kicked him some change too b/c Trin always wants the newest shoes/fashion shyt. Breh was eating off of shows, but he's not eating b/c he's a selfish one trick pony. I knew his run wouldn't last because he's not built to be a serious recording artist. He had only been rappin about a yr before he got his deal...he was always gonna be a fad
If he was smart he wouldve pulled it like a smash n grab, stacked that cash and flipped it into other shyt and be set for life.
But knowing these cats he was most likely trying to live like a rapper and blew through everything.
I hope he wasnt dumb enough to actually think he would have any longevity
another instant classic?
He's running out of money and Def Jam wants him to go indie. He was touring in the US last summer & Europe towards the end of last year, but when his mixtape flopped last yr he's been unable to make any noise.
I should feel sympathy, but he brought it on himself by alienating people, surrounding himself with fake ass people and most importantly not making hot music. He's done
He doesn't release music but when he does its good. 10pc mild definitely wasn't good as Dont be S.A.F.E
^This goes too hard though.
He actually has ALOT of good music his current team is/was unwilling to release. When I was working with him he was more on some Currensy/Kush & OJ Wiz type shyt, just fukkin around, trying to find his lane. But that version of him was >>>>>> than anything's he's released since he got famous. So yea he's definitely capable of making hot music or even a dope mixtape, but his downfall is tied to the fact that he doesn't know who he is or what he's making music for. Is he Trinidad James (the caricature) or Nick (the thoughtful, intelligent, clever rapper). Once he figures that out & gets focused he'll be able to get back to it

Why won't his team let him release music ? But he reminds me of Asap Mob style, but more intellectual. He just have to learn how to blend the two. He kinda ruined how smart he is by the "All Gold Everything" video, but dude is very smart.
Had he not released All Gold Everything hed still be numbered among the millions of other soundcloud rappers catching the bus to the studio.
That troll of a video is exactly why hes famous today but is the same reason why he cant build a career.
Two edged sword which way would you have had it though?:steven:
