None of this has anything to do with anything. Timbaland didn't burn bridges with DJ's and labels. In fact, at every radio show stop (even when he was promoting Empire), he had DJ's hyping her music as much if not more than he was. It's even noted in this thread.

As far as Tink being too dark, I'm guessing you've never heard of Lauryn Hill. She's one of the most successful female singer/rapper hybrids. No one ever cared how Missy Elliott looked either. You're making up stuff.

It is not that she is dark.
It is the fact she raps and looks like fukk'n azalea banks.
Which is a ripoff of one jay flow used by female rappers in this Gen. Plus the fact she is a rnb singer trying to rap and real talk after the screw job revenue grab work.

So, it feels like tink is to fabricated and not a real organic artist who also lacks an identity.

Yet you can not fake jax being from Chicago and one thing no female artist from Chicago will.ever be able to do.

The pedigree of female emcees with ang13 and or shawnna flanked by teefa arguably being the best female emcee ever is prevalent here and you won't fool the grassroots community.

Timbo burned bridges with DJs+labels by being his typical a$$hole self, and Tink is "too dark." I think she's a beautiful woman (tho that weave is ridiculous) but it's hard to sell a dark skinned woman in music. When I worked at a label they had research on listeners hearing a song, enjoying it...and then enjoying it less when shown a picture that showed it was a dark black woman. Other listeners shown a picture of a lightskin black woman=liked the song more.

That's cool if it was CACS but a Brotha or Sista thinking like this is a broken willed cop out.
