1. Khaled is the only that still does it

Kay Slay (RIP King, he’s probably yelling at folks in heaven right now) was the last one who did em for the OGs.

Khaled needs a 200 deep cut one day.

Mixtape DJs are dead now because everyone likes No DJ versions plus no one wants to hear Drama and Don Cannon’s over the top commentaries or Whoo Kid’s random gunshots.

Everyone these days has access to a studio too so that’s that.

I miss The Empire and Evil Empire dudes though. Their drops were funny

nah that's for mixtapes, he's talking studio albums. Funk Flex, Clue, Envy, Drama, Khaled, Tony Touch, Statik Selektah all had albums.

Envy’s first CD was underrated… that doesn’t get talked about enough.

DJ Envy still pulled it off though.

They had to take a gamble with that first Khaled CD too.

Remember Funk Flex’s The Car Show album and how it didn’t meet expectations.

Fat Joe had to cosign Khaled and he’s been providing hits every damn year since I was a 3rd Grader.

I think the bolded was just used as a way to sell his car show (flex had a lot of dope firsts)
