I know that’s his brother but damn I bet it took Doug a long time to forgive Ryan for fukking up what was on the verge of being a major media career.

What happened? I've never come across anything "legitimate" detailing why they went away.
Used to be late to work listening to their show in the parking lot.......lol Damn I miss the 90's, early 2000's Atl.
Probably wont find anything official now but Ryan was heavy into that CTE lawsuit against the NFL and was speaking on it very often on the shows. ESPN/ABC was up for a renewal with the NFL so it wasnt hard to see why Ryan either had to shut up or get lost. Behind the scenes reports were saying Doug was trying to get Ryan to drop it early on but he wouldnt.
I suspect the radio gig situation was political. They switched networks at one point as a step up but it didnt pan out and then they started getting time slots swapped around back on 790. They had a good thing with that mid day stretch before the 4pm afternoon drive home. Once they were put on the 4pm slot i knew that wouldnt last in the Atlanta market because thats the slack jaw redneck time slot.

Oh shyt I do remember him talking about that. That makes sense. And yeah, the time swaps were a mess. I was working 3-11 at the time and could listen to most of the show before work. Once they got moved, it was too difficult to catch them.
