What happened to Shawn Michaels eye?

Sounds like it shook a bunch of stuff loose because I could barely understand him. Bret was concentrating, you can tell he really wanted to know.
Supposedly HBK/Hogan was supposed to be two matches each man getting a win. Right before SummerSlam 05 Hogan claimed his back or knee was acting up and he wouldn't be able to do the second match where Shawn would get a win. Shawn got salty and thus SummerSlam 05. Kinda ironic that Shawn, probably the biggest backstage politician of the 90s got owned by wrestling's GOAT backstage politician. Even though Shawn made that match memorable lol, it was kind of a dikk move for him to do considering it was the only match they had together and for many Shawn vs Hogan is a dream match so it's kinda sad to see it that way. It also kinda wasted Shawn's last, and one of his best, heel runs.
I never really bought into the whole mocking thing. If that's the word on the street, fine, but when I saw the match for the first time I didn't get that feeling. Obviously he was overselling but that's what people do when they're wrestling Hogan. You're not gonna have a physical, intense athletic match with Hulk so you might as well go the opposite direction and turn it into a cartoon. He really didn't do anything that Perfect wouldn't have done.
