not be a broken record here but we have to be more active in local government and elect candidates who will do what we need and have integrity whatever their race.
in the case of ferguson to have no black officials or police officers is shameful and the residents are wholly to blame.

How can we be more active in local government when we don't know how it works

movements from impoverished people need more violence than what most fergusonians are willing to muster. walking around with your hands up is not a revolution. the only thing that will save them down there are demographic changes, but that takes time.

I'm sticking with personal responsibility. As far as the job itself goes you can learn as you go, everyone learns at some point. I'm sure there are great candidates in Ferguson and elsewhere who don't even realize it. All the people have to do is care about their communities, vote and guide policy. If they can't do that they're f'cked.
