Honestly….I’ll probably end up getting one but outside a new botw Zelda there’s nothing that moves me.
With it being backwards compatible day one(ish) is a no brainer for me.
Every day I don't see Chrono Trigger on the Switch is infuriating to me.
IIRC the Switch launched with Arms and a bunch of games that were available on the Wii U, so if that continues to be the case I'd expect them to release some kind of Zelda TOTK GOTY edition or some kind of zelda bundle that includes Wind Waker.
Mario Odyssey 2 would be amazing.

.... top-down (and side-scroller) like the classic games . .. that lets you create Overworlds and Dungeons with options for the graphics to be 8-bit / 16-bit / etc .. and considering this would be "next-gen" - they should also have the option for the graphics to be in the Echoes of Wisdom style . . it would allow for making full open-world games . . or micro-games for online leaderboards . . . . also offers the ability to create custom soundtracks and sound-effects via an online-repository accessed through NSO.

You know what's wild. All they would have to do is use the DS version of Chrono Trigger as a baseline and upscale and upgrade. It will print money.

considering a new castlevania used to come out within the launch window of many pieces of nintendo hardware, a new exclusive castlevania, preferably 2D would probably force me to buy.
They could straight port it and I’d pay for it.

The playstation 1 and DS version are the same. I think the latter might have an extra dungeon
