This isn't true, and it's bullshyt to paint the situation like that. Much of Israel (especially their leadership) don't even follow their religion or give a shyt about religious beliefs. People are dying because one group of people wants to return to their homes that another group of people pushed them out of. It might as well be Russians vs. Ukrainians or Tutsi vs. Hutu, their religion has nothing to do with it except to provide cover for the stealing of land and homes.


Netanyahu isn't even religious himself - he was born in a secular family and is most likely an atheist. Some sources suggest that Israeli prime ministers have virtually never been religious jews.

Zionism is an 19th century ideology that states its mission is the establishment of a Jewish state in the land of Israel. Largely born of discrimination and persecution Jews experienced in Central and Eastern Europe.


Modern Zionist ideology by some in Israel is increasingly militant and expansionist. I.e. there shouldn’t be just a Jewish state but actual blood and soil Nazi rhetoric eerily similar to Lebensraum and other fascist policies.


Zionism outside of Israel is commonly used by the extreme left as an insult to anyone who takes a moderate position on Israel. Don’t believe Israel should’ve be wiped off the map? You’re a Zionist.


Conspiracy theorists and far right wingers like to use Zionism as a codeword for a vast Jewish conspiracy to control the world. You see many Black and Middle Eastern conspiracy theorists state that Zionism is just a way for Europeans to assert more power over oppressed peoples where as far right wingers believe Zionist is a purely Jewish conspiracy aimed at destroyed whiteness.




Ultimately Zionism as an ideology was not uniqu historically. Many ethnic groups had nationalist movements of various success that were able to carve out nation states during the upheaval of WW1. For instance one of Hitlers grievances during WW2 was he did not believe Polish and other ethnic groups in Central and Eastern Europe deserved their own countries as Germans deserved the land more on account of their racial superiority.

People who have never read a history book believe Israel is some special event when in reality the victorious Allie’s after WW1 were giving our nation states to previously stateless ethnic groups like candy. This was supposed to solve war as everyone gets representation now. Of course it didn’t.

It’s telling the Israelites that they have to slaughter an animal in the way they have been commanded to for something to be considered Kosher

There’s no command that tells them how to do this though

So it hints at non-written commands

Now I’m going to over explain to give others reading more context

If you read the overall passage - not just the verse - it’s about how people can kill and eat animals without being near the temple

And they’re told if “you slaughter… just as I have commanded you” then it’s okay to eat

Basically to slaughter the animals in a specific way they were commanded

But the instructions are not explicitly outlined in the written word

So it points to the idea that there are commands or things we should do that may not be written down

Oral Torah is a phrase used by Jews to refer to their rabbinic teachings

We accept that there are many things that probably weren’t written down that were part of the Torah

BUT

It can be confusing to call that oral Torah in todays world

Because 99.9% that’s referring to rabbinic Judaism that developed post-Christianity

When it comes to what we could call oral Torah - that’s essentially all non-written revelation

Or at least what wasn’t written as part of sacred scripture

But was later written

The canonical use of a set of texts called scripture is itself “oral Torah”

To give examples in Eastern Orthodox Christianity. It would be like doing the sign of the cross, The methods for consecrating the Eucharist, the specific ways different sacraments are practiced, The liturgical arrangement of prayers,etc

I would just say it’s not very helpful to use the phrase oral Torah because of the baggage with the term, but essentially we can refer to all non-scripture revelation as a sort of oral Torah.

Can you show me one who’s actually Christian? Only one I can think of is Nick Fuentes and he’s a Roman Catholic. He’s not even a proper Christian.

Even though Roman Catholicism has the gospel their doctrine have so many heresies like the filioque, papal supremacy and purgatory being the big ones to keep it short. They use the same Bible.
