What Dr.Dre/NWA/Suge/Deathrow did to hip hop was far more damaging and atrocious than whatever people felt 90s Bad Boy did

Golden age of hip hop 1988-1996.... rise of NWA and death of 2Pac.

1997 onwards... rise of Bad Boy and fakkitry and materialism.

Not a coincidence the quality dropped once Diddler emerged :dame:

I think it’s because Diddy and Bad Boy were from the Mecca of Hip Hop. And Diddy is way more out there than Dre or anyone from NWA. Cause Dre did get criticized when he was more active.

And raps golden age is supposed to of been from the late 80’s till the mid 90’s. So even after NWA the culture was still thought to of been good. But after Bad Boy in 97 ehhh

Now that im even thinking about it. I had to edit the title cause I feel its more so what Suge did than what Dre and Eazy n Cube did.

Cause there was still a element of hip hop and social commentary during NWA. Eazy n em never really pushed the gang image too crazy too.

Just the tough guy shyt and over the top almost cartoon like violence.

Its suge and the MOB bloods that changed everything keeping it a buck

Strictly speaking of the music, what exactly did the Bad Boy crew do other than flaunt riches, ego-trip and talk about partying and whatnot. Wasn't all of that already happening to a certain degree in HH long before? Genuine question.
