I love how fukk You started the album...but like Money, Power, Respect, it was mediocre with a few cuts here and there...the only Lox albums I love are Kiss the Game Goodbye, all of Styles albums, and Sheek's Walk Witt Me

I don't think so.....maybe after 10 years or so but I kno they went gold last time I checked

we are talking the time people were buying albums en masse. everything ruff ryders branded went platinum within 6 months.

it took money power respect one year to reach plat and it was on bad boy with appearences by puffy, BIG, mase and jayz. lox did those sales in half that time with we are streets album, it was critically acclaimed for that alone.

let's not also forget how the term "ryde or die" was ultmately popularized by the single feat eve. they were the 2nd most popular act on the label under X.

even drags album went gold and that sh!t was horrendous.

Up until a few years back, its was blasphemy if you talk any kind of ill about the LOX in public. Like, random niccas that claim the streets would randomly merk you if you even said some shyt like "LOX was average." They gave birth to the mixtape street rapper's image as you know it.

The album was just good. SP the Ghost had imagery of a serial killer on how many niccas he killed on record.

thats wassup but during the time period i was referring to, it was gold.

is it possible you are a traveler of times and mixed up two different dimensions? one where the LOX were greater under-achievers then in our timeline?

seriously it went plat when it came out. all ruff ryders releases between 99-2002 went platinum with the xception of drag who went gold.

This was huge in highschool

Before the album drop Flex used to spin Breathe Easy for 10 minutes straight.

Never forget the first time hearing fukk You beat. :mindblown:

Everyone was crowning Jada. Blood Pressure was so sick. :boss:

Rape'n You Records had everyone mimicking that last line.

I loved it.

We Are The Streets (the song) was so vicious. :pachahah: editing Diddy name out when they were clearly talking about him

No we ain't fukkin wit dem
No more cause we ruffrydin

I'm the reason why ya peeps not in ICU
Cause believe me when you ain't watchin I see you
From the Hamptons to the place where you like to eat
I put somethin in them mams you keep thinkin is sweet
I'm in the bushes all night calm wit' the Tommy
Waitin for you to skinny dip wit' that mommy
While she waitin for the night i'm waitin for her flight

Blood Presure = :ooh:

F*ck you = :ooh:

Breathe Easy = :ooh:

most of the beats tho, like most Lox related albums, were so throwaway it's hard to call the sh!t good, let alone "classic"..
