This is like saying that Drake is a better rapper than Kendrick because he sells more records.
Have you ever seen MJ defend?
His...in-game awareness is GOD LEVEL. I say that as someone who isn't on the "MJ IS DA GOAT OF GOATS" train.
Michael's defensive awareness is simply otherworldly. He is both a better on-ball defender (MJ was ferocious) and MUCH better at shooting the passing lanes than Bron (which is why he averaged much more steals). He almost never overplayed for the shot, he NEVER took plays off, and he was ALWAYS in the right spot giving 100% effort.
He also had maybe the absolute strongest pair of hands of any guard ever. He routinely was ripping the ball away from centers and power forwards with ease (and these are 80's and 90's PF's who were only there to start fights and foul people).
The one thing that Bron IS absolutely better at is being a rim protector. But since he can't be BOTH your best perimeter defender AND protect the rim it doesn't matter much.
One thing Bron will NEVER have is Jordan's motor. He was 100% every game, every play. Bron has shown that he doesn't have it in him to go 100 for an entire series without it affecting both his defense and his jumpshot. We saw that in 2015. This isnt really a knock against Bron as really no other player ever has had Jordan's level of intensity.
Jordan could guard his ass off, grab 8 boards, take every shot (and get fouled 20 times), lead the offense, and take the shot with the game on the line and more than likely sink it. Then go out and drink and smoke cigars and see you again the next night.
82 times, and then for every single playoff game in the run. Bron would fall over and die of exhaustion.
