Entrepreneurial spirit as big as ever

Ever increasing gap between rich and poor

Increased individualism (culture of me)

Microwave knowledge; people being able to perform and know how on a wealth of tasks, but the skill to become masters in those tasks lacking.

The global village being a reality

Computers literally being in everything; clothes, furniture, medicine, etc.

Privacy, being completely an antiquated ideal (future generations won't know, and will expect to constantly be monitored)


Basically just an acceleration of things from last decade.

90s- end of humanities dominance. will be looked at as the end of the human era.

00s- when the computers start to take over. cellphones, laptops, streaming porn, social media

10s- humans start to integrate with technology. smartphones, taking L's on wshh, internet becoming a bigger marketplace than the real world, ADHD generation

my guess is we will go through cold war II with asian countries in this decade. it seems we're already heading toward one.

Well the 2010's hasn't really showed us shyt yet, seeing how only 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 count. Of course we could discuss those four years, in which case there wouldn't be too much good to be said really.

- Internet and especially social media running the WORLD, instead of it being just a place for SOME teenaged kids
- Unnecessary excessive usage of various technological gadgets etc
- A very weak economy pretty much all over the world: China taking over the world as the number 1 exploiter of countries and the richest country in the world (while also recklessly destroying the nature at an alarming rate - lol atleast USA tried to act like they had some shame at times), the foundations of European ''civilazation'' crumbling away one by one (I find it personally very amusing and righteous) - see Greece, Italy etc etc.

I'm not even going to get into the hip hop side of things, too much for me to dislike, don't want to spread negativity like that. We DO have a genuine rap star born, Kendrick. If he puts in work, he might end up on peoples top 10 DOA lists in a few years. Asap Rocky and the likes might also run the game for a while on some Dipset movement type shyt.

Seriously though, we need some more critically acclaimed MAINSTREAM artists....yeah we know there is alot we can dig for and find in different sources but i mean the type of artists that can have a big influence on society and be a big part of society in terms of culture......

gay marriage legalization
decline of islamic fundamentalism and more westernization by more muslim countries when seeing the negative effect.......same way Japan changed after ww2

We all know how piff the Milennium started out from 00 up to 02....but it seems ever since then the decade just fell off and we struggled to find an identity.....

60s...70s....80s...90s....all had their own style or stood out in some way, but this past decade just seemed tto be some Lost Decade....

Right now unless drastic things start happening it seems like this current decade will be a repeat of the last.

If I am wrong, what do you guys think personally it can possibly be known for?

Although I'm a pessimist now I will have my guess as:

Lebron/Miami Heat Dominance Like the "90s Bulls"
Marijuana Legalization

In terms of entertainment, world events, and public fads

I think this decade is very similar to the 80's in regards to style

In terms of music....Obviously there are always going to be BOTH great artists and horrible artists every decade....

However at the same time.......the death of certain ones definitely can effect and influence in culture and lead to a certain direction in style....

@Todd2012 and that is gonna keep happening this decade.....We don't see things anymore like Bob Marley dying in May 1981 and MJ releasing "Thriller" a year and a half later..

In all honesty unless drastic things start happening now...I am starting to believe that the "Teens" decade will just be the "recovery stage" to get us past that horrible "Naughties"(00s) decade and heal......

The "20s" Decade may be that Renaissance period that we haven't had since the 1990s...

the European Union...unite a continent...how is that going? NOW TRY A ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.

American Constitution being destroyed...stop and frisk...all communication being recorded, stored and being prepared for seachability.

Guantanamo...indefinite detention....this is not America.

drones replacing humans in war? it's easier to dehumanize the target when the soldier doing the killing is playing a video game.
